I cast & forged the topper in brass. Then I cut, plane the reclaimed Maple & long grain glued the the 2 pieces together. When dry I then turned, filed, sanded, 1 coat of Red Mahogany stain, 2 coats of Semi Gloss Spar Urethane and added rubber tip.
