I made, cast & forged the topper in Aluminum. Then I cut, planed the reclaimed seasoned Red Wood & long grain glued the the 2 pieces together. When dry I then turned, filed, sanded, 3 coats of Red Mahogany stain, 2 coats of Semi Gloss Spar Urethane and added rubber tip.
